October 2 - Visit with Director of RCA Global Mission

Middlebush Reformed Church (Somerset, New Jersey) is pleased to announce that on World Communion Sunday, October 2, we will be hosting Rev. Douglas Leonard, Director of RCA Global Mission.  Rev. Leonard will be speaking with our Adult Nurture class at 10:00 am to share updates on global refugee crises, with emphasis on the Syrian refugee crisis.  He will also be preaching in our 11:00 am worship service, sharing more broadly about RCA global mission.  Following worship, he will be available during our Fellowship Hour to interact with and answer questions from anyone interested in speaking further with him.  We cordially invite RCA congregations throughout Classis New Brunswick and the Regional Synod of Mid-Atlantics to send chairs of mission committees, representatives of Consistories, or any other interested members to hear Rev. Leonard’s presentations and share in Q & A with him as we share in worship that reflects the global church.

For more information, please contact Rev. George Montanari, 732-873-2776;

The RCA Mass Incarceration Survey

The 2016 General Synod decided to hold a denomination-wide gathering on mass incarceration (R-16-23).  The RCA is developing plans for that meeting and your input on priorities would be much appreciated.  Please complete this short online survey:  The denomination will combine your inputs with those of others, which will help shape the design for a mass incarceration meeting and possible new ministry initiative to follow.  Survey results will be shared denominationally. More to follow regarding the meeting, which will be held in February 2017
